Maria Julia Salas, a distinguished architect, graduated with honors from the UNLP, Argentina, in 2011. Immediately entering the construction industry, she swiftly gained recognition for her exceptional skills. Seeking further expertise, Julia pursued a Master's in Interior Design in Italy, where she also worked with a prestigious Italian firm.

Fueled by a thirst for knowledge, she delved into studies on positive impact and environmental challenges. Immersed in sustainability, she achieved the esteemed LEED Green Associate certification. Maria Julia's academic journey continued at the prestigious IAE Business School, where she mastered Small and Medium Business Direction. Additionally, she honed her skills in User Experience and Service Design, along with mastering the intricacies of Supply Chain Management.

Her journey extended globally, marked by a pivotal stint with the esteemed Campana Brothers Studio in Brazil. Immersed in the dynamic environment of a globally recognized design studio, Julia gained invaluable insights. Returning to Argentina, she seamlessly translated this enriched knowledge into substantial contributions to the field of architecture. Collaborating with the renowned NGO Hecho x Nosotros, she engaged in the creation of Capacity Building programs for MSMEs, regenerative economy, and marginalized communities.

In 2015, Maria Julia's journey took a personal turn with the birth of her first daughter. Family life flourished, welcoming another daughter and a son. Amidst the joys from her earlier years while still studying architecture, her passion for outdoor sports remained a steadfast thread. She used to serve as a private ski instructor for prestigious families in Whistler, Canada, during holidays.

Reflecting on this multifaceted odyssey, she recognized the profound impact of her experiences on her professional journey. The discipline from her younger gymnast days and customer service skills from instructing skiing proved invaluable in navigating the dynamic world of architecture and design.

In 2022, fueled by a passion for sustainable construction, service design, capacity building, and a commitment to empowering marginalized women, Maria Julia took a significant step, founding Julia Salas LLC based in Florida. Initially a unified force, the venture soon evolved into two distinct names. Julia Salas LLC continued to showcase Maria Julia's prowess in sustainability, energy, and water efficiency advisoring Interior Designers and Architectural Firms. Simultaneously, Drafts and Plans emerged, providing specialized technical drawing, project management services and design assistance.

Behind her businesses lay Maria Julia's heartfelt vision—a vision born from collaboration with NGO Hecho x Nosotros—of offering job opportunities to marginalized women. Drafts and Plans, in particular, is actively preparing capacity-building trainings for these women, aiming to fill existing job vacancies in the USA market and contribute to sustainable growth and empowerment in a meaningful way.
